During the visit, the Director of International Cooperation formally informed the JCLEC Executive Director that the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, as a member of the ASEAN Customs Enforcement and Compliance Working Group (ASEAN CECWG), was proposing a “Workshop on Advancing Customs Enforcement to Counter Transnational Crime & Money Laundering” to the ASEAN CECWG board. This meeting with the JCLEC Executive Director opened opportunities for collaboration in capacity building between the Directorate General of Customs and Excise and JCLEC.
