The celebration began with remarks from Pol. BG. Dayan V.I. Blegur, S.I.K., M.H., M.Han., JCLEC Executive Director, and Federal Agent Jason Pourpouras, Head of Education and Training Support (HETS), followed by a prayer as we reflected on the meaning and significance of Indonesia’s Independence Day.

The celebration continued with the traditional tumpeng-cutting ceremony, led by the JCLEC Executive Director. The first pieces of tumpeng were presented to JCLEC HETS and Mr. Dana McDonald, First Secretary (Customs) for Indonesia, Singapore and ASEAN at the New Zealand Embassy, who was visiting JCLEC for a courtesy call with JCLEC Management. The tumpeng-cutting ceremony symbolising gratitude, friendship, and togetherness. Pieces of tumpeng were also shared with JCLEC staff celebrating their birthdays in August, adding a special touch to the celebration.

The event concluded with a group photo, capturing a memorable moment of togetherness among JCLEC Management and staff.

As JCLEC celebrates 81 years of Indonesia’s independence, we are reminded of the importance of unity, collaboration, and strong partnerships in building a better future.
Happy 81st Independence Day, Indonesia!
