As we conclude a remarkable chapter, the Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC) proudly hosted a commemorative tree-planting ceremony on 18 September 2026 to honour and bid farewell to our outgoing Executive Director Programs, Commander Danny Caruana.

Serving from 2024 to 2026, Commander Caruana played an instrumental role in steering JCLEC’s international training programs, strengthening regional cooperation, and fostering enduring professional networks among law enforcement agencies.

To mark his tenure, Commander Caruana planted a Golden Tea Tree (Melaleuca bracteata) on the JCLEC campus. Native to Australia, this resilient species is known for its striking golden-green foliage and ability to thrive in diverse environments. Beyond its beauty, the tree serves as a meaningful tribute to his Australian heritage and a living symbol of strength, adaptability, and enduring collaboration—planting roots that will continue to flourish at JCLEC for years to come.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Commander Caruana for his dedication, leadership, and service, and wish him every success in his future endeavours.

A chapter may close, but the roots of collaboration remain.
